PM chairs meeting to review counter terrorism plan

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif chaired a meeting to review national counter terrorism plan at the PM’s House here today.

Federal Ministers for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan; Finance, Mr. Ishaq Dar and SAFRON, Lt. Gen ® Abdul Quadir Baloch as well as Special Assistants to PM, Khawaja Zaheer Ahmed and Barrister Zafarullah and Attorney General attended the meeting.

The Prime Minister said that oneZarb-e-Azb Operation is going on in the tribal areas while the other would be against the enemy who is hidden in our cities and villages.

He said that decisive action would be taken against the terrorists who spilled the blood of innocent people in Hazara Town, Quetta and Peshawar Church incidents.

He said the government would not differentiate between the terrorists and those protecting them. Terrorism and Sectarianism is like a cancer for Pakistan and now is high time we got rid of this menace, he added.

The Prime Minister said operation Zarb-e-Azb is going on satisfactorily and will be continued till the complete eradication of terrorists. 

He appreciated the sacrifices given by the people of North Waziristanwho he said have sacrificed their today for a peaceful tomorrow of the country. 

The Prime Minister said terrorists are enemies of the state and it is obligatory on every citizen to help the government identify and apprehend the miscreants so that peace and stability can be ensured across the country.
