Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan attaches special importance to its relations with the United Arab Emirates. He said this while meeting His Highness Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of United Arab Emirates, who called on the Prime Minister here in Islamabad today. Mr. Ishaq Dar Minister Finance, Mr. Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to PM on National Security and Foreign Affairs and Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to PM were also present during the meeting.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on bilateral and regional matters. Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance Pakistan attached to brotherly relations with UAE. On the bilateral plane, the Prime Minister highlighted the excellent relations between Pakistan and UAE, marked by growing trade as well as close cooperation in the multilateral fora. Prime Minister said that UAE also hosts a large Pakistani community which is making positive contribution to the development of UAE and is sending remittances supporting Pakistan’s economy as well.
UAE’s Foreign Minister re-iterated the commitment of UAE Government to further strengthening ties between the two governments and its people.
