Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of life and property due to floods in Chitral. He intends to visit the flood affected areas in Chitral today but is stuck in Lahore due to bad weather.
The Prime Minister has instructed NDMA, which has already started work in the area, to reinforce relief and rescue efforts in coordination with PDMA and other concerned departments. He also directed NHA to keep N-45 open so that Chitral remains linked with the national road network.
The Prime Minister would visit Chitral as soon as weather clears.
