Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif left for Islamabad today after an official visit of the UK.
He was seen off by Pakistan High Commissioner Syed Ibne Abbas at the Heathrow airport.
Main purpose of PM’s visit was to attend the London Conference on Afghanistan. On the sidelines he also held bilateral meetings with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the Prince of Wales, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Prince Karim Aga Khan, key British Ministers and senior officials of World Bank.
Talking to official media after the Prime Minister’s departure, the High Commissioner regarded Prime Minister’s visit as extremely productive not only in furthering Pakistan’s bilateral relations with the UK but also in the context of the entire region.
