This morning, Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Sharif arrived in London. He was received by Representative of the British Government Mr Nicholas Jarrold and H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK along with the officials of the High Commission.
Speaking to the media persons on his arrival, the Prime Minister termed his recent visits to Chinaand Germany very productive. He hoped that the Chinese investment would help turn around Pakistan economy and complete development projects in the country. The Prime Minister said that Germany was also keen to invest in the energy sector of Pakistan. He hoped that the issue of energy shortage would be overcome within their tenure of the government.
In London, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Pakistan-UK Energy Dialogue / Investment Conference to be held on 13 November 2014, in London, which will focus on assisting Pakistan in seeking investment in addressing its energy needs through sharing expertise and best practices.
In addition, the British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond will also call on the Prime Minister to discuss bilateral relations.
