Prime Minister visits Peshawar; gets briefing on Operation “Zarb-e-Azb”. “Government to take full care of IDPs”, Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that the entire nation is supporting our Armed Forces in the war against terror and Pakistani nation will overcome every challenge. “The goal of achieving peace is not very far and I have full confidence that with the help of Almighty, we will win this war”, said the Prime Minister. He said this while visiting Corps Headquarters Peshawar today where he was briefed by Corp Commander Peshawar regarding Operation “Zarb-e-Azb”.  Prime Minister was accompanied by Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Pervaiz Khattak, Federal Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Federal Minister for State and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Lt. General ® Abdul Qadir Baloch.

Prime Minister was briefed about different stages of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and present status of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in bordering areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with FATA. Prime Minister said that the pace of success of Armed Forces in the Operation “Zarb-e-Azb” is very encouraging. Moreover, Prime Minister said that Government and Armed Forces would ensure provision of all possible help to affected Tribals and Federal Government will provide resources in this regard. 

Earlier, Prime Minister laid floral wreath over Yadgar-e-Shuhada at the Headquarters of 11 Corps and prayed for the departed souls.

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also held meetings with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan and Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mr. Pervaiz Khattak at the Governor House, Peshawar.
