Pakistan Muslim League (N) Leader Mrs. Raheela Magsi has given Cheque of one year salary of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif comprising Rs. 1,690,000 as an educational fund to Iqbal Samad Khan the Administrator of Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization.
At the occasion Mrs. Raheela Magsi said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif proved his attachment to Sindh by giving his one year salary to an educational institute of Sindh. She said that the donated amount will be spent on poor students who want to get education.
The Administrator Iqbal Samad Khan briefed the guests about Rashidabad city and the trust. He said that the city is located on the Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road near Tando Allahyar; the project spreads over 100 acres of beautiful fertile land. Lt. Gen. Moinuddin Haider, Governor Sindh laid the foundation stone on 13th December, 1998.
He told that The Citizens' Foundation School was established for 900 students, boys & girls to impart quality education and training. It is one of the outstanding schools of the Foundation and the best in the region. In this particular environment of Rashidabad, it benefits from many ancillary facilities like sports fields/recreational areas and influences from the regular group events/functions held at Rashidabad. Students belonging to families with good financial background pay full tuition fee and those who cannot afford are free including uniform, books transportation and tuition fee.
He further informed about healthcare facilities being provided by the Trust in Rashidabad. The 200-bed Bilquis Mushaf Medical Complex, The Fatimid Foundation has commissioned a blood bank, with Thalassemia and Hematological Services, The 50-bed Layton-Rehmatullah Benevolent Trust Free Eye Hospital and Four mobile clinics have been purchased and work in defined areas to cover a radius of 15 kilometers around Rashidabad.
The administrator Iqbal Samad Khan thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Mrs. Raheela Magsi for supporting education in Sindh especially for poor students.
