PM has said that Government’s economic reforms and sustained efforts have placed Pakistan on development track

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Government’s economic reforms and sustained efforts have placed Pakistan on development track. Our policies have made Pakistan a lucrative place for the foreign investors, PM added. PM said this while talking to a delegation of Chinese Company Gezhouba Group of Companies led by its President, Mr. Nie Kai, in PM house on Thursday.

Prime Minister said that Pakistan provides ample investment opportunities in energy, infrastructure and other sectors of economy. PM told that our government has investment friendly policies and we would like that the world wide investors including Chinese should invest in Pakistan.

Mr. Nie Kai, President of Chinese Company, which is working on Neelum-Jehlum power generation project, briefed the Prime Minister on the progress of Project and assured him that the project will be completed in its stipulated time.

Mr. Nie Kai appreciated the investment policies of the government and told the Prime Minister that their company is interested in investment in Gadani Power Project, Dasu Power Generation Project and Cement industry. He said that they are encouraged by the support and assistance provided by the government of Pakistan in this respect.

Prime Minister appreciated the investment plans by the company and said that government will provide all facilities to the investors.

PM told that we have prioritized power sector and would welcome the private as well as international investment in the sector.

The development in infrastructure is also one of our priority areas and the Chinese company may also consider investment in this sector, PM told Mr. Nei Kai.

Defence Minister Kh Asif and SAPM  Tariq Fatmi were also present in the meeting.
